I am 65 years old and began running at age 50. My passion is trail running and I have been the local trail club leader for 21 years in Kelowna, BC.
 
I am also co-race director of the Scorched Sole Ultra in Kelowna which is in its seventh year. Proceeds from the race go to charity.  Last year we raised over $3,000 which went to Jumpstart,
Strong Kids and Kelowna Community Resources.  The race brings 150 runners and their families to Kelowna for a weekend in June. 

I have hosted trail and ultra clinics for the past 6 years to introduce runners to the local trails and help them prepare for ultra distance racing.　

I have completed 40 marathons and ultra marathons including 2 one hundred mile endurance ultras and 2 one hundred kilometer road ultras.

In 2007 I broke the Super Veteran (60+) record at Knee Knackering North Shore Trail Run 50k.

 In 2009 I competed in the 36 hour Raid the North Adventure Race in Kelowna B.C.

In May 2010 I entered 5 events in the World Masters Indoor Track & Field championships in Kamloops, BC and qualified for the finals in every event eventually winning a silver medal in the 400 meters.
 
In June 2010 I placed 1st overall in the inaugural Fat Dog 100k trail ultra in Manning Park BC.
Voted Male Athlete of the Year for 2010 at the Civic Awards in Kelowna, BC

In 2011 Finished 4th male and 6th O/A in the 6 day Coastal Challenge 233k Rainforest Run in Costa Rica.

Recently completed the Copper Canyon Ultra 50 mile in Urique, Mexico
